About Rikki:
Rikki came here June 12, 2012. His owner, a new resident to Palm Springs, had thought she would really enjoy having a greenwing macaw, a dream pet. But she hadn’t researched how much attention and care they need. As she worked twelve hour days and was rarely home with him, after three months she felt he was being neglected and called to place him with us. He is big and beautiful! He says, “Want a nut?” and can make a fist with his foot and knock. He also plays peek-a-boo, says hello and other common phrases. |
